Grand opening of PGRH Maternity Unit and Neonatal ICUNorthern Health, the Government of British Columbia, the Fraser-Fort George Regional Hospital District and the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation wish to invite you to the official opening of the new Maternity Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Prince George Regional Hospital. The new units are part of the $12.5 million PGRH Maternal Child Centre of Excellence. The project has completely redeveloped maternity, neonatal intensive care, and paediatric care facilities at the hospital. The BC Government and Regional Hospital District each contributed 40 per cent of the construction costs, with the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation providing the remaining 20 per cent from donations received from individuals, businesses, service groups and organizations. Deputy Premier and Prince George-Mount Robson MLA Shirley Bond, Fraser-Fort George Regional Hospital District chair Don Zurowski, Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation president Del Laverdure, health professionals and other guests will be on hand to officially open the new units. The event will take place as follows:
