Children’s Craft World
The Festival of Trees is for the child in all of us and we are excited to bring you the "Children’s Craft World" for the children to participate in. We invite you to visit the Children’s Craft World – a series of individual kiosks that the children can visit to create that one of a kind gift to someone special. In addition to the traditional favourites, decorating a gingerbread cookie and a little tree, we’ve added some fun new crafts to our collection. Also available for custom designing will be a Santa Hat, a set of Reindeer Antlers, and a Christmas Stocking, a little wreath; a wooden candle holder complete with candle and a mystery Santa goody bag. Of course, we’ll still have the free area where children can colour, glue and glitter a picture, write a letter to Santa, and decorate a bag to take home all their treasures from their visit to the Festival. We are very grateful to the support of Scotiabank in making the Children’s Craft World possible for the Festival of Trees.

Children’s Health Clinic
The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation is presenting the 16th Annual Festival of Trees – the premier holiday event that our entire community looks forward to at this time of year. As the funds raised at the Festival of Trees are used by the Foundation to support the enhancement of healthcare throughout the referral area of the Prince George Regional Hospital, we are please to present the "Children’s Health Clinic" again this year to help our visitors understand some of the reasons our volunteers work so hard to bring this annual event to our community.
In the Children’s Health Clinic our visitors will have the opportunity to learn what it would be like to visit a Paediatrics Ward. They’ll receive finger casts, listen to their hearts beat, see actual x-rays and participate in some hands-on activities related to health care.
Healthcare professionals from our community will be volunteering their time to ensure that children’s questions are answered, and that all visitors to this newest feature receive a true understanding of why the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation exists in our community. This is a no-charge feature at the Festival of Trees and we encourage everyone to come and visit this informative and interactive area.
