Excitement is building as we are well under way getting ready for the 6th Annual Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation Radiothon.
Throughout the day, every hour, for twelve straight hours, the great folks at The River 101.3 and 99.3 The Drive will be broadcasting live from the Hospital, chatting on air with doctors and nurses, former patients of the hospital, as well as with friends and supporters from the community. At all times our volunteers will be answering the phones, taking pledges and challenges, and updating the radio listeners as the donations grow throughout the day. We will be inviting everyone to make that phone call, or come down to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation office just inside the front doors of the University Hospital of Northern BC.
We are very fortunate to have some of our previous supporters back on board again this year. Tim Horton’s will be joining us for the Drive-Thru breakfast, from 7:30 am to 10:00 am. As in the past, pre-orders can be placed by completing the Pre-Order Form, ensuring that your order is packaged and ready for quick pick-up at on your way to work from the hospital parking lot. An excellent assortment of Timbits will be available, and of course, that delicious Tim Hortons’ coffee, hot and ready to go. The Prince George Citizen newspaper will also be part of your morning breakfast.

Many of our community partners are organizing pre-events prior to September 10 to help raise funds for UHNBC, and will be on hand throughout the Radiothon to make their presentations. As these events are confirmed we will be promoting them on The River 101.3 and 99.3 The Drive, as well as on their websites.
We would like to offer your business/organization the opportunity to support this event and UHNBC. Please consider matching the pledges made, up to a predetermined amount, for an hour on the day of the Radiothon, making you a “Power Hour” sponsor. All support will be recognized on-air during the Radiothon, as well as Power Hour sponsors will receive value added pre-event radio exposure.

Join the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation in its quest to raise $6,000 by wearing your jeans: purchase a $5 button and wear it every Friday in September to show your support. Make it a family affair or a workplace challenge!
