We are delighted to recognize so many members of the community who have come together to show their support. The donations we recognized today came from individuals, families, corporations and community groups that are committed to improving healthcare in our community.” said Debie Byl, Fund Development Officer “We owe a great debt of gratitude to CKPG TV for allowing us this opportunity to recognize and up-date our donors.”
History of the Spirit of the North Day The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation launched a new $2.1 million Centre of Excellence Campaign on Sunday, March 4, 2001 with an exciting new event called Spirit of the North Day.
The Spirit of the North Day was broadcast live from PGTV studios from noon-5 pm. Our Foundation was delighted to use this opportunity to recognize our wonderful supporters throughout the region, as well as to attract new donations during the course of the event. The Spirit of the North Day replaced the Spirit of the North Telethon, as our annual community donor-recognition event.
