Tim Hortons - Wayne & Carol Beebe

Oct 16 2008

David was pleased to present this year’s Foundation Award of Merit to Wayne and Carol Beebe of Tim Hortons (Prince George) for their outstanding contributions to the Foundation.  The Beebe’s have not only supported the Foundation on a personal volunteer level (Carol is entering her sixth year on the Board) the Beebe family has been in the forefront of offering their business and staff support to the many Foundation events. Since the Tim Hortons “Smile Cookie” campaign began, the Beebe’s have directed the funds to support us and PGRH. They were instrumental in encouraging their fellow franchisee’s (in north central BC) to also participate in the program.  The local Tim Hortons have always offered their support with donations of time, volunteers and funds for the Foundation. They encourage their staff (especially the younger members) to participate and volunteer and contribute to support local charities.
Mrs. Beebe accepted the award on behalf of her husband and staff. She was pleased that her young staff can “make a difference” and they get to participate in some many things they would never have been involved in otherwise. She said that one of their greatest pleasure’s, is to see the smiles and hear the happiness in the voices of staff as they give back to the community.
